Nestle Milo bar

I'm a sucker for anything that claims to be an 'energy food'. I'll usually try it once, then if the taste appeals, make it a regular staple.

Nestle Milo bar is a case in point.

I can't remember which I tried first - the milo cereal or the milo bar, but I like them both, despite their very different tastes and textures.

Just as the wrapper claims, the milo bar has a soft top - some kind of chewy malty/chocolate substance, with a more biscuity crunchy base. I've found that although the King size version is always tempting, I can only really stomach it after a long run. One of my more excessive long run recover treats is a king size milo bar and 600ml Vanilla Coke.

One small word of warning - I wouldn't recomend this bar if you are only mildly interested in have a choclate treat. You've got to really be craving chocolate to fully appreciate the milo bar flavour. Otherwise, the aftertaste may seem a little strong and linger too long.

The milo cereal is another entry altogether.
